It all started with ‘The Dave.’

 

Picture a tall, athletic man in a red sweatsuit, giant coffee in hand, eyes squinting into the morning sun. On the ball field, his presence was magnetic. He commanded the game with calm authority, calling plays, and guiding his young players with precision. The kids in the dugout watched in awe until one whispered, with a grin, “Just look at him… look at ‘The Dave.’”

 

That same combination of competitive drive and caring mentorship shapes everything Dave Grill does, including inventing products that solve real problems.

 

The first idea sparked when he saw his daughter Lauren struggling with her softball glove flopping backwards, causing painful swelling in her thumb. Mid-flight on a business trip, Dave grabbed a napkin and sketched a solution: a glove wrap that formed the perfect pocket and kept the ball in place when stored. The result? No more glove problems. Lauren went on to a standout softball career, rewriting records at Ole Miss and even playing professionally. While the Mitt Whomper is not currently still in production, Dave’s passion for inventing was born.

 

Dave’s golf invention, the Delta Putt, is a perfect example of our mission in action. This innovative training aid delivers instant feedback to help golfers improve both accuracy and technique. Dave’s golf experience runs deep. He’s competed in the National Long Drive Championship, caddied on the PGA Tour, won college championships, and played in the NAIA Nationals. The Delta Putt’s success speaks for itself, having been picked up by Odyssey Putters. At the heart of Gsix Products is family. Dave coached all three of his children in sports and in life, teaching them to be relentless competitors who never give up. His late wife Teresa was their biggest cheerleader, a beloved wife, mother, teacher, and friend. When she passed from cancer in 2000, Dave held his family together, determined to honor her legacy.

 

When it came time to name the company, Lauren suggested “Gfive” for the five family members. But Dave’s wife Kellie reminded them, “There are six of us. Teresa is still with us.” And so, Gsix Products was born in 2016.

 

Today, we create products that are innovative, practical, and built to perform like the Delta Putt and the Sheet Cinch. Every idea starts with a problem worth solving, and every solution carries the same passion and ingenuity that defines ‘The Dave.’
